This is a very curious fossil leaf from the 18 inch layer. Careful examination reveals anastomose venation that is similar to Acrostichum hesperium (Newberry) but the leaf shape is not consistent with comparable specimens in literature or other collections. The leaf is large (9 cm) with a smooth margin.
